Liberty University Homecoming Traffic
As most people in Appomattox know, the traffic condition in Lynchburg along 460/29 and interchange 501 normally is congested. Watch for heavier-than-normal traffic this weekend if you plan to head into Lynchburg, as Liberty University is holding its homecoming on Saturday, October 25th. However, it appears that alumni have begun heading into town as early as Thursday (yesterday). Keep this extra traffic in mind as you head to the mall or other points in that area.
Mass Transit Coming to Appomattox County
Despite an area-wide power outage, about 40 people still showed up on Tuesday evening to hear John Davis describe his brand new bus service between Pamplin and Lynchburg. The meeting was held in the Appomattox Community Center and ran for about an hour.
