The Appomattox County Library’s Summer Reading Programs are filled with lots of extra events; here is what was going on just last week alone: two story and craft times, a reading and meet and greet the book author Mary R. Bailey who wrote Vhan Zeely and the Time Prevaricators (which is available for check out), an artist camp, and painting sun catchers.

…The Jamerson Library’s next event will be on Thursday, July 02, “I Can Be A Star Too!” a one-hour drama camp. The first camp will be 1:00pm for patrons that are pre-K through 5 years of age. The second camp will be at 3:00pm for patrons 6 through 9 years of age. You must be pre-registered to attend either camp. You can stop by the Jamerson Library or call on the phone to add your child’s name to the list, as these classes are limited to the first 20 who sign up…
As the Page Turns: Appomattox County Library System News
The Appomattox County Library System will start their Summer Reading Program on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at both county libraries from 9:30am to 1:00pm. They will give out balloons, plastic book bags, and bookmarkers just for signing up. There will be two programs: “Be Creative @ Your Library” from patrons up through 8 years of age, and “Express Yourself @ Your Library” for patrons 9 years of age up through high school.
