Museum Site Land Secured
The Town of Appomattox, Virginia, has secured the right to purchase and finance the future site of the Museum of the Confederacy in Appomattox County. The current landowner has signed a contract confirming his commitment to sell four acres of land near the intersection of Route 24 and the Highway 460 bypass. The purchase will take place if approved by the town council after a public hearing. The land will then be leased to the Museum of the Confederacy.
