Bolling Camp Responds to Wagner
Matt Wells, Bolling campaign manager, today issued the following statement regarding the press release issued earlier today by the Wagner camp and the possibility that Bolling may not attend a debate this upcoming Thursday:
Bolling Threatens No-Show for Scheduled Debate, according to Wagner Camp
Jody Wagner today reaffirmed her commitment to attend the first debate of the Lt. Governor campaign this Thursday, despite a threat by Bill Bolling to pull out of the event at the last minute. The event, sponsored by the Prince William 100 and scheduled for Thursday evening, is one of two debates previously agreed upon by both campaigns. Earlier in the campaign, Wagner had called for a series of five debates.
Bolling’s 11th-Hour Input on Virginia’s Rest Stops
Publisher’s Note: The public hearings for the closing of Virginia’s rest stops ended in April, almost 2.5 months ago. The people who attended those public hearings in good faith that their safety concerns would be heard were not supported by any state politician at the time. Although the following concern by Bolling and the previous concerns expressed by McDonnell are helpful, they seem a bit late in the game as the rest areas are to close tomorrow.
