jennifermills.jpgJennifer Mills, located in Lynchburg, educates small businesses and organizations on effectively using social media to cut marketing costs and increase sales. After helping nonprofits and churches learn to use public relations to reach mass audiences, Jennifer founded Expressions Laboratories, a Web development company specializing in helping businesses and organizations reach their brick and mortar goals. Jennifer’s company has brought new strategy and online publicity to hundreds of organizations nationally.

Jennifer’s passion is in creating solutions where they need improvement. So as technology has redefined the way organizations perform outreach and achieve their goals, Jennifer has redefined the way public relations works for businesses. Through creative strategies, Jennifer authored a method to combine public relations with technology to create social media 101. Social Media 101 is a formula of optimizing web tools to generate publicity and new relationships in real life.

While using the method to increase relationships in her own business, Jennifer spends most of her time teaching other businesses how to personalize the plan to reach their own goals.

Jennifer’s career started at The National Grant Center in Washington, DC, as the Director of Marketing, and then as a public relations coach working for churches and nonprofits nationally. National clients in her portfolio include World Vision International, the Revive New Orleans Campaign, Compassion by Design, authors Doug Wead, Linda Settles and Dr. Norman Pratt and many others.

“I see my work as an expression of myself. My values and beliefs extend to the passion and purpose I put into my profession, clients and projects.”

Jennifer received her degree in Public Relations at Liberty University and resides now in Lynchburg, VA with her soon-to-be husband, David, and soon-to-be precious five-year-old son, Kaleb.

About Expressions Laboratories

On a mission to help people connect with people, Expressions Laboratories implements custom web and marketing solutions for businesses and organizations.

Aaron and Jennifer MillsBrother and sister team Aaron and Jennifer Mills started as technology consultants for nonprofits across the country, specializing in helping organizations market and publish on the web in a way that makes a big impact. Since those early days, Expressions Laboratories has expanded their client list to include multiple industries, including businesses, churches and authors. Their national portfolio list includes The Church of God International, the Revive New Orleans Campaign, Angel Food Ministries, Hope for the Hopeless and many others.

While Jennifer comes from a public relations background, Aaron comes from the world of technology and web languages. Together they have created the right mix of both to help businesses reach their brick and mortar goals.

Making real connections with people is how business happens. Expressions has the tool set and experience to help businesses make those connections while staying focused on their products and services.

The Expressions team has come together to offer affordable, state-of-the-art web technology solutions that include a combination of standards compliant, up-to-date custom web design and internet marketing. Expressions creates solutions that even the least technical person can update themselves to keep costs low, while expanding your organization’s reach.

Expressions is skilled in standards compliant, up-to-date coding, custom websites, website redesigns, Ruby on Rails, Wordpress, PHP, AJAX, open source web applications, ecommerce, membership applications, event registration, interactive web sites, content management solutions and dynamic websites.

Expressions also has expertise in internet marketing solutions including social media optimization, search engine optimization, search engine marketing and email marketing.

Expressions Laboratories is a public relations agency specializing in strategic web design. We got started by working with nonprofits and churches. Learning how to work with small budgets, they quickly began to favor many of the open source products and free applications out there – making web design the most affordable marketing tool out there for organizations.

While they still have many national nonprofit clients, they also love working with small businesses. And the more they have learned about social media (a set of methods for generating publicity through online communities and community websites) the more they realize how effective it can be to cut costs and create new clients. With the right social media optimization plan any small business can position themselves as a niche leader and change the way they create business.

Their goal is to help a client reach their brick and mortar goals through the right web tools. And they can help them decide what those are and how to use them.
