Editor’s Note: We’ve ceased publishing press releases from the Governor’s and Lt. Governor’s campaigns, simply because the press releases have been irrelevant and have not focused on any important Virginia issues. However, we were stunned to hear about McDonnell’s graduate thesis, a paper that showed a singularly hostile tone and a social agenda against working women, unwed mothers and gay individuals that seems to have lingered in his current philosophy (The PilotOnline agrees and expands on the issue).

Publisher’s Note: The public hearings for the closing of Virginia’s rest stops ended in April, almost 2.5 months ago. The people who attended those public hearings in good faith that their safety concerns would be heard were not supported by any state politician at the time. Although the following concern by Bolling and the previous concerns expressed by McDonnell are helpful, they seem a bit late in the game as the rest areas are to close tomorrow.
