Moran Wins Statewide Young Dems Straw Poll; Young Dem Leaders Back Moran
Brian Moran won the majority of votes in a statewide Young Democrats straw poll on Saturday conducted at seven locations across the Commonwealth. Moran won nearly 50 percent of the vote in the three-person race for Governor among Virginia Young Democrats. After the results, several prominent Young Democratic leaders announced their endorsement of Moran for Governor.
VA Democrats React to Washington Post Investigation
Several Virginia Democratic and elected leaders reacted to this weekend’s front-page Washington Post investigation into Terry McAuliffe’s business background. The Post labeled his background a “liability” and said that, despite McAuliffe’s repeated claims to the contrary, he has not created any jobs in Virginia. In fact, all five business the “Washington insider who got rich” started in Virginia have no employees.
