Information Session for Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
Lynchburg College will host an information session for prospective graduate students interested in the new Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) program on Tuesday, August 11, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in the Alumni House Lounge. Program Director Dr. Kevin Brueilly will explain requirements and discuss curriculum. Financial aid information will also be available.
Graduate Tuition Reduction Program offered to Lynchburg Alums
In an effort to support continued professional development among alumni, Lynchburg College is offering a tuition reduction program to individuals who have completed a graduate degree at the College and are interested in pursuing additional graduate training. The program provides for a reduction of 50 percent for one three-credit course per academic year (May to May). The program is ongoing and students may take courses at reduced rates over several academic years.
Lynchburg College offers new Master of Science in Nursing
Lynchburg College is offering a new Master of Science in nursing degree beginning this fall. The 37-hour program will offer two tracks – Nursing Education and Clinical Nurse Leader. “Our new program will provide a way for nurses to actively engage in meeting the evolving health care needs of patients and families,” said Dr. Angela Taylor, program director. “This is an exciting time for nursing and for Lynchburg College,” she added.

Lynchburg College Offers Summer Course in Astronomy
Lynchburg College will offer a three-credit hour summer course in astronomy (SCI 610), to be taught by Dr. Neal Sumerlin, LC professor who spearheaded the effort to establish the Belk astronomical observatory at the College’s Claytor Nature Study Center.
