Melisa Aviles
Local budding hobbyist Melisa Aviles will be the J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library’s November Bedtime story and craft time reader. Melisa will read several short stories with a thanksgiving theme on November 19th, starting at 6:00pm. The whole family is invited to attended dressed in their pajamas and participate in the snacks and craft projects to follow.
Melisa, 42, was born in Philadelphia PA, and considers herself an Appomattox County hometown girl. Melisa is enrolled in CVCC in Lynchburg, and supplements her tuition costs by offering handmade tote bags, blankets, pillows and checkbook covers. She will be offering a selection of her items after the story time reading. They would make a great locally crafted Christmas gift for the upcoming holiday, and are reasonable priced starting at $6.00. Melisa will be happy to accept special orders up through the second week of December so that she may have all orders ready by Christmas.
This is the second of three bedtime story and craft time at the Jamerson Memorial Library. The library hosts three every year: one in October, one in November, and one in December. This event is a great opportunity for families to spend quality time together, and enjoy a few delights of the season. If you have any questions about this upcoming event or other library related concerns you are encouraged to call Katharine at the Jamerson Library at 352-5340.
