The Jamerson Memorial Library hosted two events last week. The first being hosted in part by the Appomattox Christian Academy’s dance teacher Sarah Carter, who presented “I Can Be A Dancer Too!”, a dance camp introduction to the basics of dance. She performed for two classes on June 25th as part of the Library System’s Summer Reading Program.

The second event was “Tye Dye in Abbit Park”, and on hand to lead the way was Robbie Charte (son of library employee Martha Charte) and Shelley from Aaamazing Face Painting, Balloons & More. Robbie and Shelley helped patrons create fabric spray painted tye dyed t-shirts. This even took place on Friday, June 26, 2009 from 11:00 to 1:00pm. The Appomattox County Library System’s Summer Reading Program provided the spray fabric paints as part of the Summer Reading Program.
The Jamerson Library’s next event will be on Thursday, July 02, “I Can Be A Star Too!” a one-hour drama camp. The first camp will be 1:00pm for patrons that are pre-K through 5 years of age.
