Garden Club Loves Us!
The Appomattox County Library System would like to thank the Appomattox Garden Club for their continued support of the libraries. For over a decade, the Garden Club has provided the holiday decorations that grace the J. Robert Jamerson Memorial Library’s (Main Street, Appomattox, VA) outer windows and doors. The Garden Club each year outdoes itself with creating handmade wreaths and bows to help make downtown glow with holiday spirit. They have been a huge part of the library winning many awards for the downtown decoration judging. The Garden Club has also supported the Jamerson and Pamplin Depot Library Branch with much needed donations to the annual Summer Reading Program.
Without the support of the Garden Club and the many local businesses, library patrons and civic organizations, the Appomattox County Library System would not be able to provide the excellent services that it strives hard to provide to local residents, library patrons and visitors to our historical town.
The library would like to acknowledge everyone’s hard work and generous donations of monetary contributions, books, movies, equipment, and our dependable volunteer base offering their time and talents which have been poured into both libraries that make up the Appomattox County Library System.
We have served the County of Appomattox since 1940 and we look forward to a brighter future knowing that we have had and continue to have the support of Appomattox County residents. So, a big thank you goes out to everyone who has played an important role in making our library what it is today.
Be sure to visit us over the holidays and throughout 2010!
