Find out more about Lynchburg College’s study abroad and service learning program on the Caribbean island-nation of St. Lucia by attending a panel discussion with Professors Glenn Buck, Jennifer Hutchinson, and Sabita Manian. These discussion will be held tomorrow, November 7 at 12:30 pm in the Daura Gallery, Dillard Fine Arts Center.
In May and June, 2008, 38 Lynchburg College students, accompanied by Professors Manian, Buck, Hutchinson, and Greenberg, traveled to the Caribbean island of St. Lucia. Through Lynchburg College’s partnership with St. Lucia’s Ministry of Education, they participated in service learning opportunities in international relations, education, and nursing. The program will take place again this summer.
This program is offered in conjunction with the Daura Gallery’s exhibition Art and Photographs of St. Lucia, which features both street art and art from commercial galleries in St. Lucia, as well as photographs by Dr. Greenberg, reflecting the island and its people.
