Dear Editor,
Bryan Baine is a very good friend of ours who is running for Town Counsel. We would like to see everyone get out and vote this year, it is your right! Some of the issues Bryan will address if elected would be to have open government, healthy economic development and will fight to keep the town separate from the county.
Open government is being able to know what your government is doing and being able to have a say in what happens in your town. Bryan would like to post it on a website and start publishing it in the newspaper. That way townspeople can be more involved in how the taxes are spent and what they are used for.
Appomattox needs more jobs for its residents. Bryan would like to make the town more attractive to draw in these businesses, without bringing in big box or business that could damage our environment. The town has different needs in its government than the county. Townspeople live in town to be near neighbors and businesses, and they chose that life as do people who live in the country. We hope to see everyone at the polls on May 6, let your voice be heard! Vote Bryan Baine for Town Council, he wants to hear what you have to say.
Sincerely,
Katherine Antis and Eric Ferguson
