Appomattox Second Annual Food Festival

Appomattox Second Annual Food Festival

It seemed as though all of Appomattox turned out for the Lions Club’s second annual Food Festival, which was held on Friday, August 15th, from 3 pm until 8:30 pm. Everyone who filled Courtland Field that day enjoyed an expanded menu prepared by Wilbun’s Emmitt Tolbert (along with 25 varieties of cake). Tickets were $20 in advance, $30 at the gate. The proceeds go to the Appomattox Lions Club, which helps provide assistance to the visually and hearing impaired, as well as diabetes patients in the community. The Lions also are active in 4-H projects.

Enjoy the photos by Jason Mitchell, and don’t forget to take in his food festival video as well!

The food is ready…

The food is ready…

The food line.

…and so are the eaters!

This one’s for you…

Washing down the goods.

Line dancing

One way to shed those calories…line dance them away!

  1. Has next year’s date been set?

  2. Hi Temple - we don’t have a date for next year’s event, but I’ll wager that it will occur about the same weekend…
